The members of the Bulgarian Natural Gas Association, the Bulgarian Gas Association and the Association of Traders and Producers of Natural Gas and Hydrogen with a Position Statement to the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Energy, the EWRC and the Ombudsman.

In the Position Statement the business criticizes the destructive policy of the state institutions towards the Gas Supply sector and especially towards the private initiative in it. The gas business community has once again shown concern first for its customers. It is for this reason that the three associations unite in their main arguments: the lack of support for natural gas consumers, the privileged position of Bulgargaz, which mainly affects consumers deprived of the right to choose, the reduction in demand for natural gas due to the double standard of state institutions.

The representatives of the gas industry urge the Minister of Energy:

TO PROPOSE TO THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS, and the latter to adopt the NECESSARY SUPPORT PROGRAMMES TO GUARANTEE FULL COMPENSATION OF THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CURRENT REGULATED GAS PRICE AND 100 BGN/MWH.

TO PROPOSE A PROGRAMME OF MEASURES IN THE SECTOR TO ENSURE THAT THE MARKET SHARE OF BULGARGAZ EAD IS LIMITED

TO PROPOSE A SET OF MEASURES AIMED AT STIMULATING the development of gas distribution networks (urban gas infrastructure), including the development of a gas transmission network to all municipal centers.

In the absence of a reaction from the state, the industry representatives are ready to defend their rights in court and other competent institutions.
